Making Plans

Making Plans

You have plans that you plan that don't go to plan, plans that you really wish you would plan and plans that just happen as they were actually unplanned
In all situations there is a plan!!
It's difficult sometimes
Relying on this plan
Sometimes you think you've got it
And sometimes you just don't know what to do.
You write up, you dream, you ponder and you glean the thoughts of what could be
The ideal future
With everything where it's meant to be
But then it doesn't turn into reality
Your mind interrogates itself for reasons why
And when you can't find the answer you ask God why
Are the plans that I planned, just not meant to be?
You feel him looking into your eyes, into your heart, telling you there is something ahead
Something in the future you do not see
There is more than this current season, although it feels like eternity
It'll pass and you'll see a stronger you, a bolder you, a happier you and an older you
An older you that has aged in faith, in strength, in character and in grace.
These things no treasures can buy, no one can take and they should never die
Take pride in these seasons, their ups and their downs
With plans that you plan that didn't go to plan, plans that you really wish you would plan and plans that just happen as they were actually unplanned
For there is a plan- God's plan
And it'll make sense one day. You'll see!

Keep trusting God, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2).

Why do I need Christ ?

                                                                                              Why do I need Christ?

I know about God's love for man but the question rings, why do I need Christ? I got everything I need, I got a family, I got certified friends I got all my mandem around me I got all my girls around me, I got the fame I get banging likes and favourites on social media, I've even got Brazilian weave but why do I need Christ?
I know for a fact that while your reading this even now there's something in your heart, there's something that tugs you that gives you that dig and you're asking yourself –
                                                                                                    Am I happy?
Have I got everything I need?
Have I got everything I want?
Is there something missing in my life?
                                                                                                     Am I fulfilled?

If I were to ask you to choose between life and death you; you would choose life – right? Again, if I were to ask you why a car needs petrol, the answer is obvious because the car needs to get to its destination. Furthermore, if I were to ask you another question - why do I need a teacher? Again, the answer is obvious so I could get good grades. Now considering that many of us will chose life that means that we need Christ because the Bible says that "in Him was life and his life was the light of men" (John 1:4). So you're still asking, why do I need Christ? Because the wages of sin - you know the things that we do on a day to day basis that goes against God leads to death but the gift of God is eternal life. So in this scenario there are three things that could happen I could accept the gift, I could decline the gift or I could accept the gift but use it the wrong way. What do I mean? Imagine there's a homeless man and you know this man is hungry and is in need of money to get food from a café. You give him the money and he goes into Starbucks and he gets his cup and puts it on the ground outside Stratford train station (where he sits), people walk past him and they're generous so they fill his cup with money not knowing this man is also a drug addict. His purpose was to get the food but he chooses to go and buy drugs.

What's my point? Do you accept the gift because you're scared of damnation and hell's flames or do you accept it because you see you're in need of a Saviour (Jesus Christ)? Do you accept it because you see that you need God in your life? Do you accept it because you struggle every day and you're in need of power to see you through the day? The question still rings, why do I need Christ? Paul said in Romans 7:18, I know that there's nothing good in me, I know what's right and I know what's wrong but I don't know how to perform what is good. I go throughout my day and I see things and I know it's wrong but what about when I want to do it, what about when I get tempted and I chose to do wrong. Paul asked a question he said oh wretched man that I'm who not what shall deliver me from this body of death and the answer is found in verse 25. He said I thank the Lord for Christ Jesus. But let's make this personal now, why do I Raymond need Christ, why do I need Him when I go out my house, when I wake up every morning? I get tempted just like you,I'm nothing.

You're reading this and you might think I'm perfect but I've fallen just like you. Jesus says I have been tempted in all points just like you but I overcame so therefore I'm able to give help to those who are tempted this is why I need Christ because I'm weak I can't do what's good so Christ says I will give you help to overcome your weaknesses, your flaws, your difficulties. Okay you like pornography, you like fornication, you like drinking, you like doing wrong and sinning but God says that I will give you power to overcome those things. You might ask the question again, why do I need Christ? The bible says there's no other name among men whereby we must be saved and that is why you need Christ.

Am I an advert for Christ

Jesus came from the courts of Glory, He left all of that and sacrificed himself for you and I. Jesus was willing to break friendships with the Pharisees so that the people who were deemed as sinners would be saved. Jesus made all these wonderful sacrifices and it's our duty as Christians, as disciples, as followers of Christ to obtain the same spirit. But nonetheless there's a problem because I know I don't have that spirit so therefore the question has to be how do I get that spirit of sacrifice.

If I want to be a footballer, what do I do? I would attend every training session, hang around with fellow professional footballers and get associated with everything that has to do with football. If we want to have that spirit of sacrifice, if we want to have that spirit that Jesus has we need to be around Jesus, we need to associate ourselves with the things of Christ. We need to be around Jesus and if we can be around Jesus more we will reflect Christ. The more we are around Christ the more we would live for others rather than ourselves.

I'm going to make a bold statement, if I've had this encounter with God, if I've had this connection with God it is impossible to stay quiet , it is impossible to keep my mouth shut. The bible says taste and see that the Lord is good (Psalm 34 :8). Now if any of my friends ask me what drink should I buy, I would suggest Ribena Strawberry. Why you may ask, Because I've tasted it and it's the best drink on this planet, so therefore if anyone buys Ribena Strawberry they are going to buy it in faith knowing that Raymond has already had it so therefore because Raymond has experienced it must taste good so let me try it... Your testimony your encounter your story is the most powerful thing on this planet to save somebody, the only thing that is stopping us from testifying about God's goodness is if we haven't tasted and seen it but the last time I checked God woke us up this morning so how have we not tasted and seen it.

Understand that God has given us this gospel work, he's invited us to go and usher in the people. God says this, he could have given this opportunity to Moses, God could have given this opportunity to Daniel and God could have given this opportunity to so many of these big and great patriarchs. God could have given the mission to Angels who are perfect but God says I have CHOSEN YOU! God says I didn't just call you but I CHOSE YOU, for the mere fact that you're reading this doesn't just show that you're called but it shows that you've been handpicked for this generation. God says that you're a man of unclean lips, you're a man who blasphemes with those lips, but I plan to use those very same lips that have blasphemed to preach my gospel. Jesus says that your hands are filthy but I plan to use those very same hands to open up the word and teach people, now we understand as children of God that we are saved by grace through faith but it doesn't just stop there , the bible teaches us that we are to grow in grace.

If I have a gym membership and say I want to get Hench because I'm too skinny it's not enough to just have the gym membership I need to go to the gym and workout , I need to pick up some weights and eventually after going to the gym I would get bigger. In order for us to grow we need to be abiding in the bible, we need to abide in Jesus, the bible says without the branches abiding in the vine they can't produce fruit, so that shows me that when your abiding in Christ you don't need to go into your phone book or in your notepad and write a date about when you're going to witness because you are the witness. Ezekiel breaks it down and says let the Lord God sanctify himself in his heart that the heathen may know that he is God (Ezekiel 36: 23). The greatest sermon, the greatest event the greatest bible study is your life.

Road to Salvation

Road to Salvation
The Road of Life, The Righteous Road, The Romans Road....is a pathway you can walk. It is a group of Bible verses from the book of Romans in the New Testament. If we walk down this road we will end up understanding how to be saved. Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."We all have sin in our hearts. We all were born with sin. We were born under the power of sin's control.- Admit that you are a sinner.

Romans 6:23a "...The wages of sin is death..." Sin has an ending. It results in death. We all face physical death, which is a result of sin. But a worse death is spiritual death that alienates us from God, and will last for all eternity. The Bible teaches that there is a place called the Lake of Fire where lost people will be in torment forever. It is the place where people who are spiritually dead will remain.- Understand that you deserve death for your sin. Romans 6:23b "...But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Salvation is a free gift from God to you! The best gifts in life are free. You can't earn this gift, but you must reach out and receive it.- Ask God to forgive you and save you.

Romans 5:8, "God demonstrates His own love for us, in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us!"When Jesus died on the cross He paid sin's penalty. He paid the price for all sin, and when He took all the sins of the world on Himself on the cross, He bought us out of slavery to sin and death! The only condition is that we believe in Him and what He has done for us, understanding that we are now joined with Him, and that He is our life. He did all this because He loved us and gave Himself for us!- Give your life to God... His love poured out in Jesus on the cross is your only hope to have forgiveness and change. His love bought you out of being a slave to sin. His love is what saves you -- not religion, or church membership. God loves you!

Romans 10:13 "Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved!" - Call out to God in the name of Jesus! Romans 10:9,10 "...If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation."- If you know that God is knocking on your heart's door, ask Him to come into your heart. Jesus said,Revelation 3:20a "Behold I stand at the door and knock, if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him..." - Is Jesus knocking on your heart's door? Believe in Him. Ask Him to come in to your heart by faith, and ask Him to reveal Himself to you. Open the Bible to the Gospel of John and read what God says about Jesus, about you, and about being born again. God will help you. He loves you. You need to look for a local church where God's word is preached or better yet come Olympic City !

The Bible says that we are to desire God's word like a newborn baby desires mother's milk.Aren't you hungry to know the truth? Water baptism is one of the ways you first show that you have been joined to Jesus. This is an action, and actions will not save you. However, it is an act of obedience and a symbol of commitment. The symbolism is this:When you go down in the water you show that You have been crucified and buried with Him, And when you come up out of the water you show thatyou have been raised to walk with Him in newness of life. (See Romans chapter 6) You have been born again. (See John chapter 3) Your body has become God's temple.Your heart is where He lives. Forgiveness is yours in Jesus. And you belong to Him. You were sin's slave. But now... You are a child of GOD! John 1:12"As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name!"
